I can't believe the cliffs of moher is losing money. Actually I can. they charge too much money for parking - 8 euros.

This country has got to get real - we charge too much for our visitor attractions. Tourists from abroad might be sucker enough to cough up,  but it makes places like the Cliffs totally off limits for locals like myself.

And the cliffs of moher was this year shortlisted for the one of the Seven Wonders of the World and it starred in the Harry Potter movie, so how come visitor numbers are down five per cent and the company running the centre is running a loss of €200k

I recently took the boat trip out to the bottom of the cliffs from Doolin and this only cost me 10euro. Thats way better value and much more enjoyable and keeps business going for the local guys who run the boats.  And no charge to park my car!
