I agree TC09.
The british are now so concerned about drivers (cars and lorries) lack of safe driving, they are considering making it legally the fault of the motor vehicle in EVERY incident involving a push bike. I think that's brilliant. It would make drivers think twice

Footpaths are for feet, not for inconsiderate bikers with backpacks, cycling too fast to allow one to get out of their way. I know, I know, one or two cyclists are reasonable and actually know how to ride a bike.  Cyclists should get compulsory training and a licence to cycle on public roads, then the deaths would be reduced.  Too many amateurs buy a bike and join the traffic with no real idea of the rules or the dangers.

I am with lucky on this one yea i agree it is dangerous out there there is no denying that but!

they need a kick in the behind even when they are in ample cycle lanes they manage some how not to stay in them and try over take each other like the frickin racing in the tour de france.

granted if you want to pass someone do but what happens is they rarely signal and when they do its a signal and gone not signal look and progress if its safe madness in the highest order

I agree.  Our company organised cycle shelters and stands with the cycle to work scheme and we are finding more people using their bicycles to come to work.  I think they got them off http://www.sesservices.ie
